We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Design Engineer to develop and prepare
designs, shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and technical documentation for
modular panels, cleanroom panels, partitions, ceilings, doors, and allied
engineering products.
The candidate will work closely with the Project, Production, Quality, Purchase, and
Installation teams to ensure that designs are technically accurate, manufacturable,
cost-effective, and meet customer/project requirements.
Candidates with experience in modular panel design, sheet-metal fabrication,
cleanroom systems, doors, or similar engineering products will be preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Engineering
• Prepare detailed 2D and 3D designs for modular panels, partitions, ceilings,
doors, and related components.
• Develop fabrication and shop drawings based on customer requirements,
architectural drawings, BOQs, and project specifications.
• Prepare panel layouts, assembly drawings, sections, elevations, details, and
installation drawings.
• Design panel joints, profiles, trims, flashings, frames, hardware, and other
associated components.
• Ensure designs are suitable for manufacturing, installation, and maintenance.
• Review designs for functionality, dimensional accuracy, material optimization,
and ease of fabrication.
Cleanroom & Modular Panel Design
• Develop designs for different types of modular cleanroom panels and systems.
• Prepare layouts for walls, ceilings, partitions, doors, windows, covings, and
accessories.
• Understand requirements related to panel thickness, core materials, skins,
profiles, joints, and finishes.
• Coordinate design requirements for cleanroom doors, vision panels, pass boxes,
and other allied products where applicable.
• Ensure designs meet project specifications and customer requirements.
Engineering Drawings & Documentation
• Prepare detailed GA drawings, fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, and
installation drawings.
• Prepare Bill of Materials (BOM), cutting lists, material specifications, and
quantity take-offs.
• Maintain proper revision control and ensure updated drawings are issued to
relevant departments.
• Incorporate customer comments and engineering changes into drawings.
• Prepare technical documentation required for production and project execution.
Coordination
• Coordinate with Project, Production, Purchase, Quality, and Installation
teams for smooth execution.
• Discuss design requirements and technical issues with customers, consultants,
and project teams when required.
• Work with production teams to resolve fabrication-related design issues.
• Visit manufacturing facilities or project sites when required to understand and
resolve technical issues.
• Provide technical support during manufacturing and installation.
Design Optimization
• Identify opportunities for material optimization, cost reduction,
standardization, and design improvement.
• Develop standardized designs and components for repetitive products.
• Reduce fabrication complexity, material wastage, and installation time.
• Ensure designs are practical and economical without compromising quality.
Quality & Compliance
• Ensure drawings comply with approved specifications, tolerances, and
applicable standards.
• Verify critical dimensions, interfaces, and installation requirements before
releasing drawings.
• Support Quality and Production teams in resolving drawing-related non
conformities.
• Maintain accurate engineering records and revision history.
Required Qualifications
• Diploma / Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production
Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 2-6 years of relevant design experience, preferably in modular panels,
cleanrooms, sheet-metal fabrication, doors, partitions, or allied engineering
products.
• Strong ability to read and interpret engineering and architectural drawings.
Software Skills
Proficiency in one or more of the following:
• AutoCAD - mandatory
• SolidWorks / Inventor / Creo - preferred

Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate should be a hands-on Design Engineer with strong practical
knowledge of modular panel and/or sheet-metal product design.
The candidate should be able to independently convert project requirements into
accurate, manufacturing-friendly designs and detailed fabrication drawings, while
effectively coordinating with production and project teams.
Experience in modular cleanroom panels, cleanroom doors, partitions, ceilings,
sheet-metal products, or allied engineering products will be preferred.
