• Install, configure, and support an organization’s local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and Internet systems or a segment of a network system
• Maintain network hardware and software, analyse problems, and monitor the network to ensure its availability to system users
• Assist in network modelling, analysis, planning, and design
• Recommend changes to improve systems and network configurations, and determine project costs and feasibility
• Coordinate installation of new hardware and software and provide training to end-users
• Monitor usage statistics and trends to assist in capacity planning
• Perform data backups and disaster recovery operations
• Configure firewalls, routers, switches, hubs, and other network devices
• Troubleshoot issues with networks, hardware, and software
• Stay up-to-date on the latest networking technologies
• Document all technical procedures and user manuals
• Provide Tier 2/3 technical support
