Install, configure, and support an organizations local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and Internet systems or a segment of a network system

Maintain network hardware and software, analyse problems, and monitor the network to ensure its availability to system users

Assist in network modelling, analysis, planning, and design

Recommend changes to improve systems and network configurations, and determine project costs and feasibility

Coordinate installation of new hardware and software and provide training to end-users

Monitor usage statistics and trends to assist in capacity planning

Perform data backups and disaster recovery operations

Configure firewalls, routers, switches, hubs, and other network devices

Troubleshoot issues with networks, hardware, and software

Stay up-to-date on the latest networking technologies

Document all technical procedures and user manuals

Provide Tier 2/3 technical support
