job summary:
the housekeeping staff is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, order, and hygiene across assigned areas such as guest rooms, hallways, restrooms, offices, and public spaces. the role ensures a safe, sanitary, and welcoming environment for guests, employees, and visitors.
key responsibilities:
cleaning and maintenance
sweep, mop, dust, vacuum, and polish floors and surfaces.
clean restrooms, replenish toiletries, and ensure sanitation standards are met.
change bed linens, make beds, and replace towels and amenities.
clean windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces.
dispose of trash and waste properly.
room and area preparation
prepare guest rooms or workspaces according to company standards.
arrange furniture, curtains, and other items neatly.
report any maintenance or repair needs to supervisors.
laundry and linen care
collect, wash, dry, iron, and fold linens and uniforms.
maintain proper inventory of clean and soiled linen.
inventory and supplies
monitor cleaning supplies and request replenishment when necessary.
store cleaning equipment safely and report damaged items.
guest interaction
respond promptly and politely to guest or occupant requests.
maintain confidentiality and respect privacy at all times.
health and safety
follow safety protocols when using cleaning chemicals and equipment.
adhere to infection control and hygiene standards.
