Job Overview

 Company: Numaligarh Industries LLP- (Chemical Plant)  Position Title: EHS Officer/Manager  Experience Level: 5+ Years  Location: Guwahati, Assam (Numaligarh)  Salary: ₹50,000 - ₹1,00,000 per month

 Industry: Chemical / Construction / Manufacturing Project  Core Objective: Ensure safe, compliant and smooth plant/project operations

through effective EHS management, statutory compliance, government coordination

and site safety. Key Duties & Responsibilities

 Manage overall EHS, safety and statutory compliance for the chemical plant/project.  Prepare and maintain pre-course / pre-start checklists and ensure all required

approvals are in place before starting work.  Coordinate DIC registration, EC (Environmental Clearance), SPCB Pollution Control

permissions/NOC and other environmental approvals.  Coordinate with Gram Panchayat and local authorities for required permissions.  Handle BOCW registration for contractors and ensure contractor compliance.  Coordinate for all contractors documentations related EHS compliance.  Apply for/coordinate CGWA approval/NOC after Environmental Clearance, wherever applicable.  Coordinate with PESO for applicable petroleum/explosive/hazardous material

permissions.  Coordinate required Poison/Poison Licence/permission for applicable chemicals.  Handle Oro/other local statutory permissions applicable to the project.  Coordinate with Labour Department, Factory Inspectorate, Electrical Inspectorate, Pollution Control Board, Fire Department, EPFO/PF, ESIC, GST and other

government authorities whenever required.  Coordinate government inspections, approvals, renewals, NOCs and statutory

documentation.  Manage EHS requirements for all employees and contract workers at site during

construction commissioning and normal operation.  Ensure contractor safety, PPE, work permits, toolbox talks, HIRA/JSA and site safety

inspections.  Coordinate with all contractors working at site during the construction, commissioning and normal operation of the plants to ensure safe work practices.  Coordinate medical/health check-ups and occupational health requirements for

employees and workers.  Maintain all EHS records, registers, licenses, permits, NOCs and compliance reports.  Conduct emergency drills, fire safety checks and incident/accident investigations.

 Work closely with all departments of the organization to ensure smooth and safe

project execution.  Regularly visit the project site/factory to inspect EHS conditions, monitor safety

compliance, coordinate with contractors and workers, and ensure all statutory and

safety requirements are properly followed.  Be available for site inspections, government authority visits, audits, emergency

situations and project-related meetings as required.  Ensure all required statutory and EHS permissions are completed before

commencement of construction/plant operations. Education & Qualification

 Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Safety Engineering, Industrial Safety, Environmental

Science, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.  Diploma in Industrial Safety (DIS/ADIS) from a recognized institute preferred.  NEBOSH / IOSH / equivalent EHS certification will be an added advantage.  Minimum 5 years of relevant EHS/Safety experience, preferably in a chemical plant, manufacturing, construction or process industry.  Good knowledge of EHS, environmental regulations, statutory compliance and

government approvals.  Experience in handling SPCB, Factory Inspectorate, PESO, Labour Department, Fire

Department, Electrical Inspectorate and other government authorities.  Good communication, documentation and coordination skills.
