responsibilities:

understanding project requirements: collaborate with stakeholders to understand project objectives, functional requirements, and design specifications.

conceptual design and development: generate innovative design concepts and solutions that meet project requirements, considering factors such as functionality, cost-effectiveness, manufacturability, and safety.

detailed design and drafting: create detailed 2d and 3d models, drawings, and bill of materials (bom) using cad software ([specify cad software - ., autocad, solidworks, catia]).

engineering calculations and analysis: perform necessary engineering calculations, simulations, and analyses (., stress analysis, thermal analysis) to validate designs and ensure performance.

material selection: select appropriate materials based on design requirements, performance criteria, and cost considerations.

design optimization: continuously evaluate and optimize designs for improved performance, efficiency, and manufacturability.

prototyping and testing support: collaborate with the manufacturing and testing teams during the prototyping and testing phases, providing design modifications and support as needed.

documentation: prepare and maintain comprehensive design documentation, including drawings, specifications, calculations, and test reports.

collaboration with cross-functional teams: work closely with engineers from other disciplines (., manufacturing, quality, production), as well as project managers and suppliers, to ensure seamless product development.

adherence to standards: ensure that designs comply with relevant industry standards, regulations, and company guidelines.

problem solving: investigate and resolve design-related issues that may arise during development or production.

continuous improvement: stay updated with the latest design trends, technologies, and software to enhance design capabilities and efficiency.
