key responsibilities:
market research & analysis: conduct thorough market research to identify new business opportunities, emerging trends, and competitor activities. develop strategies to expand the company's customer base.
lead generation: identify, qualify, and generate new leads through various channels, including cold calling, networking, email campaigns, and industry events.
client relationship management: build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with clients by understanding their needs, offering solutions, and providing ongoing support.
sales strategy: develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company growth targets and revenue objectives.
sales presentations & negotiations: prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations to prospective clients. negotiate contracts and close business deals.
collaboration: work closely with the marketing and product teams to ensure that client feedback and market demands are reflected in the companys offerings.
crm management: maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and opportunities in the company's crm system.
reporting: provide regular reports on sales performance, pipeline status, and market trends to senior management.
networking & partnerships: attend industry events, conferences, and meetings to build a strong professional network and explore partnership opportunities.
client retention & upselling: focus on both new client acquisition and client retention by identifying opportunities for upselling or cross-selling additional products/services.
continuous learning: stay up to date on industry developments, emerging technologies, and best practices to maintain a competitive edge in business development.
skills & qualifications:
bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, sales, or a related field (preferred).
proven experience (3-5 years) in business development, sales, or a related role, with a track record of achieving sales targets.
