Job Role of Branch Relationship Manager (BRM)
Key responsibilities include:
Managing existing customer relationships
Acquiring new customers for savings accounts, loans, insurance, investments, and credit cards
Cross-selling banking products
Handling customer queries and service issues
Maintaining customer portfolio and increasing business revenue
Achieving monthly sales and business targets
Coordinating with branch staff and other departments
Ensuring KYC and banking compliance
In Priority Banking roles, BRMs also manage High Net Worth (HNI) customers and investment products.
Eligibility Criteria
Typical eligibility for Axis Bank BRM roles:
Educational Qualification
Graduate in any stream (, BBA, BA, BSc, etc.)
MBA/PGDM preferred for higher-level RM roles
Experience
Fresher to experienced candidates for entry-level relationship roles
For Priority Banking RM:
Usually 3-10 years of banking or sales experience
Experience handling HNI customers preferred
Skills Required
Good communication skills (English + local language)
Sales and convincing ability
Customer handling skills
Basic banking and financial product knowledge
Target-oriented mindset
Computer knowledge and CRM handling
Age Criteria
Generally 21-32 years (may vary by vacancy)
Salary Range
Approximate salary in India:
Fresher/Entry level: ₹-4 LPA
Experienced BRM: ₹4-8 LPA
Priority Banking RM: ₹8-15+ LPA depending on experience and incentives
Performance incentives are usually added separately.
