Branch Officer - Job Role & Responsibilities
A Branch Officer is part of the bankβs core operations and customer service team. The role includes both operations + sales support.
π Key Responsibilities
1. Customer Service
Handle walk-in customers at the branch
Resolve queries related to accounts, ATM, internet banking, etc.
Maintain high customer satisfaction
2. Account Opening & Documentation
Open Savings & Current Accounts
Verify KYC documents (PAN, Aadhaar, etc.)
Ensure compliance with RBI guidelines
3. Banking Operations
Cash handling (deposit/withdrawal)
Cheque processing & clearing
Maintain daily transaction records
4. Sales & Cross-Selling
Promote banking products (FD, RD, Insurance, Loans, Credit Cards)
Achieve monthly sales targets
Generate leads for new customers
5. Relationship Management
Maintain relationships with existing customers
Upsell products based on customer needs
6. Compliance & Security
Follow bank policies and procedures
Prevent fraud and ensure secure transactions

Graduate (any stream)
