we are looking for a dynamic and result-oriented business development manager to drive client acquisition, manage key accounts, and expand business opportunities in the recruitment and staffing sector. the role requires a strong background in b2b sales, relationship management, and a deep understanding of recruitment services. the ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in achieving revenue growth and positioning our agency as a trusted recruitment partner across industries.
key responsibilities
1. client acquisition & lead generation
identify and secure new business opportunities across industries (it, non-it, bfsi, fmcg, manufacturing, etc.)
generate leads through cold calling, networking, referrals, and digital platforms
conduct client meetings, presentations, and effectively pitch recruitment services
2. relationship management
build and maintain long-term relationships with hr heads, hiring managers, and decision-makers
manage key client accounts ensuring high satisfaction and repeat business
3. sales strategy & execution
develop and implement sales strategies to meet revenue targets
conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify business opportunities
4. collaboration & coordination
work closely with the recruitment delivery team to ensure timely and quality candidate submissions
coordinate with marketing teams for campaigns, branding, and business visibility
5. reporting & documentation
maintain accurate records of leads, client interactions, and business pipeline
prepare weekly and monthly reports for management review
requirements
minimum 5 years of business development experience in recruitment, staffing, or hr consulting
strong understanding of recruitment lifecycle and staffing models (permanent & contract)
proven track record of achieving/exceeding sales targets
excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
proficiency in ms office, crm tools, and linkedin/networking platforms
ability to work independently and collaboratively with teams
preferred qualifications
graduate/mba in hr, marketing, or related field
experience in both permanent and contract staffing
