Assistant Accountant

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent communication and analytical skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

Support the accounting team in daily bookkeeping tasks such as data entry, reconciliations, and invoice processing

Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports

Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities

Conduct regular audits of financial data to ensure accuracy and completeness

Manage and maintain accurate records of financial transactions

Assist with budget preparation and analysis

Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders

Perform other accounting duties as assigned by the supervisor

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field

Proven experience as an assistant accountant or in a similar role

Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Word

Knowledge of accounting software, preferably QuickBooks

Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Good time-management and organizational skills
