Airport staff have many responsibilities, including ensuring the safety and comfort of passengers, managing operations, and providing customer service:

Passenger services

Greet passengers, check tickets and passports, and assign seats. Help passengers with inquiries, provide flight information, and direct them to the correct terminals. Assist passengers with disabilities, infants, and unaccompanied children.

Baggage handling

Check in baggage, weigh it, and tag it for the correct destination. Move luggage between check-in points and departure areas, and load and unload it from the plane. Ensure luggage is scanned and delivered safely.

Boarding

Manage the check-in and boarding processes, and check boarding passes at the departure gate.

Operations

Coordinate with ground crew to move aircraft, and assist with aircraft marshaling. Operate airport equipment like baggage carts, forklifts, and tugs. Respond to emergencies and incidents in a professional manner.

Other responsibilities

Sell airline tickets and make reservations. Help passengers confirm flight and meal reservations. Store freight cargo in warehouses. Maintain accurate records of activities, such as passenger counts, baggage handling, and equipment maintenance.
