passenger service agent

this is a customer-facing role, primarily responsible for assisting travelers in the airport terminal.

responsibilities:

checking passengers in and issuing boarding passes.

verifying passenger identification and travel documents.

answering passenger questions regarding flights, gates, and airport services.

assisting passengers with disabilities, special needs, and unaccompanied minors.

handling flight disruptions, such as delays and cancellations, by rebooking or rerouting passengers.

making public address announcements in the gate area.

ramp agent

ramp agents work outdoors on the airport tarmac, managing the arrival and departure of aircraft. it is a physically demanding role that involves operating various types of equipment.

responsibilities:

loading and unloading passenger baggage, cargo, and mail.

operating ground support equipment such as belt loaders, tugs, and baggage carts.

guiding aircraft to and from gates using hand signals and communication equipment.

placing chocks and cones around parked aircraft.

assisting with aircraft servicing, including refueling, cleaning, and water services.

inspecting equipment for safety and reporting any issues.
