📌 Job Summary

The Air Cargo Executive is responsible for managing end-to-end cargo operations, including cargo acceptance, documentation, warehouse handling, and coordination with airlines, customs, and ground handling teams. The role ensures timely, safe, and compliant movement of cargo in accordance with aviation regulations and company SOPs.

🔧 Key Responsibilities

📦 Cargo Operations

Handle import, export, and transshipment cargo operations

Perform cargo acceptance, build-up, breakdown, and dispatch

Ensure correct segregation and storage of cargo

Monitor flight cut-off times and cargo loading schedules

Coordinate with ramp and load control teams for aircraft loading

📄 Documentation & Compliance

Prepare and verify Air Waybills (AWB) and cargo manifests

Ensure compliance with IATA rules and airline procedures

Maintain accurate cargo records and reports

Coordinate with customs and security authorities

Ensure proper documentation for DG, perishables, valuables

⚠️ Safety & Security

Follow aviation safety, security, and ramp safety procedures

Handle cargo as per Dangerous Goods regulations (if certified)

Ensure proper use of PPE and material handling equipment

Report damages, discrepancies, or safety hazards immediately

💻 Systems & Coordination

Update shipment status in cargo management systems

Communicate with customers, freight forwarders, and internal teams

Track cargo movement and resolve shipment delays or issues

🛠️ Required Skills & Competencies

Knowledge of air cargo operations & airport procedures

Understanding of cargo handling, ULDs, and warehouse operations

Basic knowledge of DG handling and load safety

Good computer skills (MS Excel, email, data entry)

Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Effective communication and teamwork skills

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

🎓 Education & Qualifications

12th Pass / Graduate (as per role requirement)

Certification in Air Cargo / Logistics (preferred)

Dangerous Goods (DG) certification (mandatory for some roles)

Freshers with strong aptitude and willingness to learn are welcome

💪 Physical & Work Requirements

Willingness to work rotational shifts, nights, weekends

Physically fit for standing, lifting, warehouse duties

Comfortable working in fast-paced airport environments
