key responsibilities:
financial reporting: prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, budget reports, and variance analysis to support management decision-making.
accounts payable/receivable: oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and collections.
general ledger management: maintain and reconcile the general ledger accounts, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded.
compliance: ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, accounting standards, and internal policies, including audits and financial reviews.
budgeting: assist in the preparation and monitoring of the hospitals annual budget, providing insights and recommendations to management.
cost analysis: analyze costs associated with hospital operations and provide reports to help optimize resource allocation and efficiency.
payroll processing: collaborate with hr to ensure accurate payroll processing, including benefits and deductions.
financial forecasting: assist in developing financial forecasts and strategic planning initiatives.
qualifications:
education: bachelors degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; cpa or cma certification is preferred.
experience: 1-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a healthcare or hospital environment.
