Academic Counsellor - Salt Lake Kolkata

We are seeking an Academic Counsellor to support students in their educational journey and help them make informed decisions about their academic paths. The role is based in Salt Lake and requires a full-time commitment.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- **Student Assessment:** Evaluate students’ strengths, weaknesses, and interests to provide tailored guidance for their academic choices.

- **Academic Advising:** Offer advice on course selection, program options, and academic policies to help students achieve their educational goals.

- **Career Counseling:** Assist students in understanding career options and the educational pathways to reach those goals, including advice on internships and job placements.

- **Workshops and Seminars:** Organize and conduct workshops on study skills, time management, and exam preparation to enhance students' academic performance.

- **Follow-Up Support:** Regularly check in with students to monitor their academic progress and provide additional support as needed.

**Required Skills and Expectations:**

Candidates should have 2 to 8 years of experience in academic counselling or a related field. A strong understanding of educational programs and career options is essential. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are crucial for building rapport with students and parents. The ideal candidate should be empathetic, patient, and motivated to help students succeed. Proficiency in using technology for virtual counselling and record-keeping is also expected. Finally, a positive attitude and a commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment are essential for this role.
