Job Description: DG Operator (ITI Diesel Mechanic) - Chemical Industry, Vadodara (CONTRACT BASE JOB)We are seeking a skilled DG Operator with expertise as an ITI Diesel Mechanic to join our team at our chemical plant in Vadodara. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the efficient operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of diesel generator (DG) sets to ensure uninterrupted power supply within the facility.Key Responsibilities:- Operate and monitor DG sets to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety and environmental standards.- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on DG sets, including engine overhauls, fuel system adjustments, and electrical component checks.- Diagnose and troubleshoot faults or malfunctions in DG sets and take corrective actions promptly.- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, fuel consumption, and operational logs.- Collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure timely servicing and adherence to preventive maintenance schedules.- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and promote safe working practices.- Assist in the installation and commissioning of new DG sets and related equipment.- Support energy management initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce operational costs.* Qualifications:- ITI certification in Diesel Mechanic or a related field.- Minimum of 3 years of experience operating and maintaining DG sets in an industrial environment, preferably within the chemical industry.- Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.- Willingness to work in shifts and respond to emergency call-outs when necessary.- If you are a proactive and skilled professional with a commitment to operational excellence, we invite you to apply for this position and contribute to our dynamic team.
