Job Title: John Deere Tractor Mechanic

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled and dedicated John Deere Tractor Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, servicing, repairing, and overhauling John Deere tractors and agricultural equipment in both the workshop and at customer sites.

Key Responsibilities

- Diagnose and repair mechanical and hydraulic faults.

- Perform complete overhauls of:

- Diesel engines

- Gearboxes and transmissions

- Front and rear axles

- Hydraulic systems

- Steering systems

- Brake systems

- PTO and drivetrain components

- Carry out routine servicing and preventive maintenance.

- Use diagnostic tools and service manuals to troubleshoot faults.

- Perform field repairs at customer locations using a company-provided service vehicle.

- Maintain accurate service records and report completed work.

- Ensure all repairs meet manufacturer and company quality standards.

- Keep the workshop and service vehicle clean, organized, and safe.

Requirements

- Experience repairing John Deere tractors or similar agricultural machinery.

- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, transmissions, steering, electrical systems, and driveline components.

- Ability to diagnose faults efficiently and perform quality repairs.

- Valid driver's licence (preferred for field service).

- Able to work independently or as part of a team with minimal supervision.

- Physically fit and willing to work in workshop and field environments.
