Key ResponsibilitiesSystem Design & Layout: Design comprehensive hydraulic networks including domestic water supply, flushing water systems, water treatment plants (WTP/STP integration), internal/external drainage, storm-water harvesting, and hot water systems.Engineering Calculations: Perform precise engineering calculations for pipe sizing, pump head requirements, water demand estimation, storage tank capacities (UGWT/OHBR), and pressure drop analysis.Drafting & Modeling: Develop detailed 2D layouts, schematics, riser diagrams, and isometric drawings using AutoCAD. Coordinate 3D modeling and clash detection using Revit MEP where required.Firefighting System Design: Assist in designing basic fire protection infrastructure, including wet risers, sprinkler systems, and fire hydrant layouts in accordance with local fire safety norms.BOQ & Specification: Prepare comprehensive Bill of Quantities (BOQ), cost estimations, material specifications, and technical data sheets for tendering and procurement.Codes & Compliance: Ensure all plumbing and public health engineering designs strictly comply with the National Building Code (NBC), local municipal authorities (e.g., PMC/NMC guidelines), and international standards like IPC or UPC.Site Coordination: Review shop drawings submitted by contractors, respond to RFIs (Requests for Information), and occasionally visit project sites to resolve critical design queries or conduct compliance audits.
