We are looking for 5 VMC Machine Operator Posts in Ambad MIDC, Nashik, with deep knowledge in CNC Machines and Required Educational Qualification is : Higher Secondary
Key ResponsibilitiesA CNC/VMC Operators day is split between technical setup and physical production:Machine Setup: Loading the specific program (G-code/M-code), selecting the correct cutting tools, and setting offsets so the machine knows exactly where the material is.Operation: Monitoring the machine while it runs. This involves button pushing but also listening for unusual sounds that might indicate a tool is breaking.Quality Inspection: Using precision instruments like Vernier Calipers, Micrometers, and Bore Gauges to ensure every part matches the engineering drawing.Minor Programming: Making small edits to the program (like adjusting speeds or feeds) to improve the quality or speed of production.Maintenance: Daily cleaning of the machine, checking coolant levels, and lubricating moving parts.2. Required Skills & QualificationsEducation: Typically an ITI (Machinist, Turner, or Fitter) or a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.Technical Knowledge:Ability to read 2D Engineering Drawings and understand GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).Familiarity with machine controls like Fanuc, Siemens, or Mazak.Basic understanding of G-codes (geometry) and M-codes (machine functions).Physical Stamina: The ability to stand for long shifts (812 hours) and handle heavy metal workpieces.
Key Responsibilities1. Programming & SimulationCode Generation: Writing and editing G-codes and M-codes manually or using CAM software (like Mastercam, Delcam, or NX-CAM).Technical Interpretation: Reading and interpreting 2D engineering drawings and 3D models.Optimization: Fine-tuning feed rates, spindle speeds, and tool paths to reduce cycle time and improve surface finish.Simulation: Running digital simulations to prevent crashes or tool collisions before the actual run.2. Machine Setup & OperationWorkholding: Setting up jigs, fixtures, and vices to secure raw materials (workpieces).Tooling: Selecting and mounting the correct cutting tools into the Automatic Tool Changer (ATC).Offsets: Setting work offsets (G54-G59) and tool length/diameter offsets.Production: Operating the machine for small batches or mass production, ensuring the process remains stable.3. Quality & MaintenanceInspection: Using precision instruments like Micrometers, Vernier Calipers, and Bore Gauges to check finished parts.Problem Solving: Troubleshooting program errors or machine alarms during the shift.Machine Care: Performing daily maintenance like coolant checks, lubrication, and chip removal.
CNC VMC Operator :The candidate should be min. SSC. The candidate should have 1 or 2 years of experience on CNC Lathe or VMC Machine. If CNC Programming Knowledge on these machines is known , it would be added advantageous.
