Fleet Management: Oversee the maintenance and management of the company'sfleet of vehicles, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to safety standards. Route Optimization: Utilise software and data analysis to optimise delivery routes,minimise fuel consumption, and reduce transportation costs. Vendor Management: Negotiate contracts with transportation and logisticsproviders, ensuring cost-effective services without compromising on quality. Compliance: Ensure compliance with local and international transportationregulations and laws, including vehicle permits, licences, and insurance. Team Leadership: Lead and motivate a team of transportation professionals,including drivers and logistics coordinators, to achieve operational excellence andcustomer satisfaction. Risk Management: Identify potential risks in transportation operations andimplement strategies to mitigate them effectively. Reporting: Prepare regular reports on transportation metrics, performanceindicators, and budgetary adherence for management review.Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration,or a related field. Master's degree preferred. Proven experience (10-15 years) in transportation management, preferably within thesteel industry. Strong leadership and decision-making skills with a focus on efficiency andcost-effectiveness. Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
