Job SummaryThe Air Ticketing Executive is responsible for handling airline reservations, ticket issuance, fare calculation, cancellations, and customer service. The role involves using Global Distribution Systems (GDS) to provide accurate bookings, resolve travel queries, and ensure customer satisfaction while following airline and regulatory policies. Key Responsibilities Ticketing & ReservationsCreate, modify, and manage PNRsIssue, reissue, revalidate, and cancel airline ticketsCalculate fares, taxes, and surcharges accuratelyHandle refunds and rescheduling requestsCheck flight availability, fare classes, and seat inventory System & GDS OperationsUse GDS systems such as Amadeus / Galileo / SabreUpdate booking details and passenger informationFollow airline reservation rules and ticketing proceduresMaintain accuracy in all system entries Travel Documentation & PoliciesVerify passports, visas, and travel requirementsExplain airline policies, baggage rules, and fare conditionsHandle special service requests (SSR) Customer Service & SalesRespond to customer inquiries via phone, email, or in personProvide professional travel advice and solutionsHandle complaints and resolve booking issues efficientlyUpsell ancillary services (meals, seats, baggage, insurance) Reporting & CoordinationMaintain booking records and transaction reportsCoordinate with airlines and internal departmentsMeet daily productivity and sales targets Required Skills & CompetenciesStrong knowledge of air ticketing & fare rulesHands-on experience with GDS systemsExcellent communication and customer service skillsHigh attention to detail and accuracyAbility to work under pressure and manage multiple bookings Education & Qualifications12th Pass / GraduateCertification in Air Ticketing / Travel & Tourism (preferred)GDS certification (Amadeus / Galileo / Sabre) preferredFreshers with strong aptitude may apply Work RequirementsWillingness to work rotational shifts, weekends, holidaysAbility to meet deadlines and performance targetsProfessional appearance and conduct
