As a Tool Maker, you will be responsible for creating, repairing, and maintaining precision tools and molds used in the manufacturing process. Your work will ensure the smooth operation of production machinery and contribute to high-quality output.**Key Responsibilities:**- **Tool Fabrication**: You will design and build tools according to specifications, ensuring they meet the required standards for quality and precision.- **Tools Maintenance**: Regularly inspect and maintain tools to ensure they are in optimal working condition. This includes sharpening and repairing worn or damaged tools.- **Blueprint Interpretation**: Read and understand technical drawings and schematics to accurately create tools and molds that meet specific production needs.- **Machinery Operation**: Operate various machines such as lathes, milling machines, and grinding machines. Familiarity with these machines is essential for effective tool making.- **Quality Control**: Conduct tests to check the functionality and quality of produced tools, making necessary adjustments to meet quality standards.**Required Skills and Expectations:**- A Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is essential for this role.- You should have 2 to 8 years of relevant work experience in tool making.- Strong attention to detail and precision is crucial for producing high-quality tools.- Good problem-solving skills are necessary for identifying and fixing issues with tools or equipment.- Basic computer skills, particularly in design software, are advantageous for tool design tasks. We expect you to be a team player with effective communication skills and a strong work ethic. Your ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment is also important.

Product Design & DevelopmentDevelop new products and improve existing designs based on customer and market requirements.Create engineering designs, drawings, and specifications using CAD tools.Conduct design reviews and ensure compliance with company and industry standards.Build and test prototypes to validate product performance and reliability.Project ManagementLead or support new product development projects from concept to launch.Create and maintain project schedules, risk assessments, and development plans.Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely completion of milestones.Track development costs and support product cost reduction initiatives.Testing & ValidationPlan and conduct product testing, validation, and verification activities.Analyze test results and recommend design modifications.Ensure products meet regulatory, safety, and quality requirements.Support failure analysis and corrective action investigations.Manufacturing & Production SupportCollaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are manufacturable (DFM/DFA).Support tooling development, production trials, and pilot builds.Create work instructions and technical documentation for production.Assist with process optimization and continuous improvement efforts.Supplier & Component DevelopmentWork with suppliers to develop and source components and materials.Review supplier technical capabilities and assist in qualification processes.Support supplier audits, PPAP submissions, and component validation.Documentation & CompliancePrepare and maintain technical documentation such as BOMs, routings, drawings, and specifications.Ensure product documentation is complete and controlled through revision processes.Support compliance with ISO, FDA, CE, UL, or other applicable standards (depending on industry).

Roles & Responsibilities:Perform incoming, in-process, and final quality inspections of products/components.Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with quality standards.Conduct visual, dimensional, and functional inspections using measuring instruments.Handle customer complaints and internal non-conformance issues.Prepare quality reports, inspection records, and documentation.Analyze defects, root causes, and implement corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).Ensure compliance with ISO standards, customer requirements, and company quality policies.Coordinate with production, design, and supplier teams for quality improvements.Perform calibration coordination for measuring instruments.Support audits (internal, external, and customer audits).Use tools such as 7 QC tools, Kaizen, 5 Why, Fishbone Analysis, etc.Monitor rejection, rework, and process deviation trends.Train operators and inspectors on quality procedures and standards.Ensure safety and housekeeping standards are followed.
