Knowledge of Soldering techniquesUnderstanding of electrical components.

Safety & Housekeeping Maintain cleanliness and organization in the wire cut area and tool room. Use PPE and follow all safety protocols. Handle materials, wires, and consumables safely to avoid damage or contamination. Follow safety and contamination control guidelines applicable to medical devicemanufacturing environments.7. Continuous Improvement & Support Suggest improvements to programs, cutting strategies, and processes to improveproductivity and accuracy. Support initiatives to reduce cycle time, scrap, and rework. Coordinate with Tool Room, Production, and Engineering teams to meet production andproject timelines. Guide or assist junior operators when required.Qualifications & Skills ITI / Diploma in Tool & Die Making, Machining, or a related field. Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in Wire Cut EDM operations. Strong knowledge of CNC programming, wire cut parameters, and tooling. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and GD&T. Proficiency in using precision measuring and inspection instruments. Familiarity with GMP, ISO standards, and industrial safety practices (preferred).Skills & Competencies

Experience: Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience as an EDM Operator in a Tool RoomTechnical Skills: Strong knowledge of EDM machining processes, parameters, and tooling. Proficient in handling precision measuring instruments. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Experience in medical devices / precision engineering / tool room preferred.Soft Skills: High attention to detail and accuracy. Good communication and coordination skills. Responsible, disciplined, and quality-focused approach to work.Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Accuracy and quality of EDM-machined components. Adherence to machining timelines and production schedules. Reduction in rework, scrap, and machine downtime. Compliance with safety, quality, and documentation requirements.

Blueprint & Drawing Interpretation:Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and job specifications to determinedimensions and tolerances. Grinding & Finishing:Perform precision grinding operations to achieve required surface finish and accuracy.Select appropriate grinding wheels and abrasives for each job. Quality Inspection:Inspect finished parts using micrometers, vernier calipers, height gauges, and surfacefinish comparators. Maintain high accuracy and finish standards. Maintenance & Safety:Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of machines and tools. Follow all safetyprocedures while operating grinding equipment. Tool Room Support:Assist in manufacturing and reconditioning of dies, jigs, fixtures, punches, and other toolroom components. Work closely with toolmakers and production teams to resolve toolrelated issues. Documentation:Maintain job records, inspection reports, and tool maintenance logs.
