ABOUT THE PROGRAM This project seeks to provide palliative care to all people, irrespective of caste, creed, religion and economic status, to allow them to live their life with minimum pain, with dignity and comfort, to the very end. It seeks to provide prevention of and relief from suffering to patients with life-limiting illness or experiencing intense pain through provision of medical support, counseling and other services.PROFILE SNAPSHOT Designation: Doctor Role: The palliative care doctor will evaluate the case, manage the treatment to alleviate pain, and will attempt to keep the patient as comfortable as possible through medication and advice. Educational Requirement: Only M.B.B.S preferred Experience: At least 1-3 years of prior experience working in a hospital. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Examine and evaluate patients Attending RPC and any other as per the requirements of the program Symptom management of referred patients OPD ward visits and visiting community rehabilitation centers Managing emergency calls and coordinating with hospital residents Conducting trainings as and when required for different stakeholders Giving feedback to referring doctors Coordinated with the Team members and guide them for the cases. Monitor the data daily basis and check referral case details. Meet with patients or caregivers in homes and medical settings.
