Position : Head Legal & Company Secretary for Mumbai locationThe Opportunity:We are looking for a highly motivated leader for Head Legal & CS position. The roles & responsibilities involve:A) Actively provide assistance in the upcoming Runaya IPO and manage regulatory compliance, documentation, coordination with external partners and corporate governance.B) Continuously monitor compliance with statutory obligations and review ongoing cases and advise management accordingly.C) Liaise with relevant departments to ensure that where legal risks have been identified, appropriate courses of action have been taken.D) Provide legal protection and risk management advice to management especially on contract management.E) Review and advise management draft contracts, agreements and internal policies and ensure that they are in compliance with all statutory or legal requirements.F) Formulate compliance check-lists to be used for the purpose of ensuring that all information required is provided accordingly.G) Prepare monthly and quarterly reports for the department.H) Review progress of outstanding litigation and liaise with and manage external lawyers with a targeted reduction in litigation.I) Review all contracts or any other documentation for business transactions and assess legal implications that need to be brought to the executive managements attention.J) Monitor the external and internal legal spend with the objective of cost rationalization.K) Provide and interpret legal information, conduct training and disseminate appropriate legal requirements to staff and to ensure compliance w.r.t corporate governance trainings are imparted to employees and contract workforce.L) Stakeholder managementThe Successful Candidate: CS with LLB degree from an accredited institute with 8-10 years of experience. Effective communication skills. Multitasking and problem-solving skills with ability to understand complex legal issues.
