Job Overview
As the HR Manager, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of human resources practices and processes. Your role is crucial in supporting a creative and collaborative work culture while ensuring HR compliance, talent development, and organizational effectiveness in a design studio environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Recruitment & Onboarding
Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract top-tier talent in architecture, interior design, and project management.
Collaborate with department heads to understand hiring needs and role specifications.
Manage the full recruitment cycle, including posting jobs, screening candidates, conducting interviews, and facilitating hiring decisions.
Ensure a smooth onboarding process tailored to the needs of creative professionals.
2. Talent Management & Development
Identify training needs and coordinate learning and development programs.
Support performance management processes and assist with setting KPIs for design and project delivery teams.
Foster career development pathways aligned with creative roles and project-based work.
3. Employee Relations & Engagement
Act as a trusted advisor for employees and management on HR policies, conflict resolution, and team dynamics.
Promote a positive, inclusive, and motivating studio culture.
Organize employee engagement activities that align with the firms design ethos.
4. HR Operations & Compliance
Maintain up-to-date HR records and ensure compliance with local labour laws. (PF/ESIC/PT/Statutory Bonus etc.)
Develop and implement HR policies and procedures tailored to the studio environment.
Manage payroll inputs, leave tracking, and benefit administration in coordination with finance.
5. Organizational Development
Collaborate with leadership on strategic workforce planning.
Drive initiatives around diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI).
Support the firms growth by aligning HR strategies with business goals.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; HR certification preferred.
Minimum of 5 to 9 years of HR experience, ideally within creative industries (architecture, design, advertising, etc.).
Strong understanding of HR laws and best practices.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
High emotional intelligence and ability to work with creative personalities.
Proficiency in HR software/tools and MS Office.
