This role focuses on managing the end-to-end development, editing, production, and distribution of print and digital publications. We seek a skilled publishing professional with strong editorial vision, project management expertise, and a passion for storytelling rooted in culture, heritage, and design. The ideal candidate will ensure all content is strategically developed, professionally produced, and widely distributed to enhance MGE Groups publishing presence and mission.Responsibilities:Editorial Strategy & Content DevelopmentDevelop and manage a cohesive editorial calendar for books, ebooks, and other written materials.Shape and refine manuscripts, ensuring alignment with MGE Groups editorial vision and brand.Publishing OversightSupervise manuscript editing, copyediting, proofreading, layout design, and formatting.Oversee production processes, ensuring quality and timely delivery of all publications.Coordinate ISBN registration, metadata creation, and copyright compliance for all titles.Maintain rigorous editorial standards and brand consistency across all published works.Team & Vendor ManagementManage relationships with freelance writers, editors, designers, typesetters, and production vendors.Ensure adherence to deadlines and budget across all publishing projects.Provide clear briefs, feedback, and guidance to creative collaborators.Digital Publishing & DistributionOversee ebook formatting and manage digital uploads to global platforms (Kindle Direct Publishing, Kobo, Google Books, etc.).Monitor digital sales channels, optimizing metadata and discover ability.Track distribution partnerships to expand the reach of MGE Groups publications worldwide.Brand & Quality ControlUphold MGE Groups brand voice and ensure content reflects its mission and values.Conduct thorough quality checks on all content prior to release.Implement efficient systems for archiving, documentation, and version control of all published materials.QualificationsProven experience in book publishing, editorial development, and digital distribution.Strong editorial skills with the ability to shape and enhance complex manuscripts.Excellent project management abilities and attention to detail.Proficiency with publishing tools such as Adobe InDesign, editorial management software, and ebook production platforms is an added advantage..A passion for storytelling and design is highly desirable.Account abilitiesTimely release of high-quality books and digital publications.Delivery of engaging, accurate, and culturally sensitive editorial content.Efficient management of editorial and production workflows.Growth in audience engagement across publishing platforms.Proper archiving and documentation of all published content.Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)Number of publications (books, ebooks) released quarterly.Growth in readership and distribution reach across digital and print channels.Adherence to editorial and production deadlines.Quality ratings and reader feedback on published works.Expansion of MGE Groups brand presence in global publishing markets.
