Job descriptionWe are seeking a highly experienced Senior Billing Engineer to manage and oversee all billing operations across construction projects. The role involves preparing and validating contractor bills, ensuring accurate measurement of works, verifying BOQs, and maintaining documentation for client billing and subcontractor payments. The ideal candidate should bring both technical and commercial expertise to ensure timely and accurate project billing and cost controlKey Responsibilities: Prepare and review client and subcontractor RA (Running Account) bills as per actual work progress. Verify BOQ quantities, site measurements, and work completion certificates. Coordinate with site teams, quantity surveyors, and project managers to obtain and confirm billing inputs. Review contract terms, rate analysis, and change orders to ensure billing accuracy. Maintain accurate and up-to-date billing logs, cost statements, and supporting documentation. Ensure timely submission of bills to clients and follow up for certification and payment. Validate and process subcontractor/vendor invoices as per work orders and site execution. Coordinate with finance and accounts departments for reconciliations and audits. Analyze deviations between billed quantities and executed work to control project costs. Ensure compliance with tax regulations (e.g., GST, TDS) and contractual obligations. Provide inputs for project cash flow, budgeting, and cost-to-complete reports. Lead or mentor junior billing engineers and ensure process efficiency.Qualifications & Skills: Education: B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering or equivalent Experience: 510 years in construction billing (buildings, infrastructure, industrial projects) Software Proficiency: MS Excel (advanced), AutoCAD, ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.), billing or QS software Key Skills: Strong knowledge of BOQ, DPR, RA bills, and contract billing Excellent understanding of construction drawings, estimation, and costing Good communication and coordination skills Attention to detail, analytical mindset, and strong documentation abilityPreferred: Experience working on government contracts, public sector infrastructure, or EPC projects Familiarity with CPWD/State PWD billing norms Certification in Quantity Surveying or Contract Management is a plus

Prepare coordinated MEP shop drawings, as-builtdrawings, and detail layouts based on project requirements.Develop detailed designs and construction drawingsusing AutoCAD, Revit, or other software.Coordinate MEP drawings with structural andarchitectural drawings to avoid conflicts.Conduct site visits to gather required data and ensuredrawing accuracy.Revise drawings based on engineers and consultantscomments. Previous Gulf experience is an advantageMaintain an updated log of all drawing revisions andsubmissions.Prepare quantity take-offs and material BOQs fromdrawings and specifications.Assist in cost estimation and tendering processes forMEP works.Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations forcompliance with specifications.Monitor project cost variations and support in thepreparation of variation orders.Track material usage and reconcile against BOQ.Support procurement with quantities andspecifications for MEP materials.

Role & responsibilities Review construction drawings, specifications, and relevant contract documents.Perform quantity take-offs for construction subtrades such as concrete, masonry, flooring, drywall, painting, and site work.Utilize estimating software to calculate areas, lengths, and volumes of different building components as needed.Apply labour / material rates to quantity take-offs given by estimating manager to calculate final project costs.Liaise with general contractors / project owner to get clarifications. Perform other duties as assigned by the construction estimating manager.Preferred candidate profile Must have experience with reading construction drawings and specifications.Must have good knowledge of computer and must be enthusiastic about learning new software and skills.Ability to work independently and with a team.1-2 years of previous experience estimating and construction software is required.Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.Demonstrate excellent technical skills in construction and construction materials.Must be highly organized, multi-tasker, and attentive to details.Must have a personal laptop / desktop and a mobile device with steady internet.Perks and benefits Full-Time / Part-Time 5 days a week.Letter of recommendation / certificate.Professional experience working on North American construction projects.
