This department manages the activities at the airport pertaining to passenger travel, security checks and ramp responsibilities. Ground staff at the airport, work in shifts and have an important role in daily operations. Handling passenger queries, cabin cleaning, catering, ticket sales, planning, monitoring and controlling airline flight operations are some of the responsibilities they perform. They are also responsible for complying with regulatory requirements and making each flight execution flawless and on-time. From boarding the flight on-time, keeping their baggage safe, cleaning the aircraft and managing on-board refreshments, they do it all wearing a smile. Sounds good? Deals with passenger enquiries about flight departures and arrivalsIssuance of tickets to the passenger after confirming their reservationsIssuance of Boarding Cards to Bonafide passengers after validating their photo IDTagging their baggage to the correct destination after noting down the correct baggage weightAdheres to the standard allowances given for passengers Check in Baggage and charging excessbaggage tax from passengers for baggage exceeding the standard allowanceEfficient Handling for passengers requiring special assistance like Expectant mother, Old Agepassengers, Passenger with infant/ small child and informing the Duty Officer and Manager for thesameProper reconciliation of passengers at the Boarding gates for their respective flightsSupervises the Baggage Loading/Offloading of the respective flights thereby ensures that correctbaggage are loaded in the flightEnsures the baggage are offloaded from the flight for passenger who is not traveling on that flightVerifies the position of Transit Passengers and inform Duty OfficersFollow Company Policy onGrooming and Uniforms StandardsAlcohol and Drug ConsumptionEnsures that Staff follow the policies and procedures as per Companys Airport Services ManualEnsures that Ramp equipment are effectively use for quick turnaround of aircraftEnsures during flight arrivals that baggage are properly kept on the arrival BeltEnsures a proper complained/report is filed for passengers lost or missing baggageEnsures that correct passenger/baggage/cargo count along with the fuel figure is passed to the Loadand Trim Staff for preparation of Load Sheet.Ensures that all Operational communication( written or verbal) are action promptlyEnsures that staff should report as per the reporting time rosteredEnsures that Staff should follow correct procedures for Carriage of Arms and Ammunition, etc.For more details kindly contact to HR team
