Core responsibilitiesProject leadership: Lead and manage the entire lifecycle of architectural projects, from initial client meetings and concept development through to final completion. Design and planning: Develop and present design proposals, create detailed blueprints and models, and ensure the technical feasibility of designs. Client and stakeholder management: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, build strong relationships, and coordinate with engineers, contractors, and other consultants. Compliance: Ensure all designs comply with relevant building codes, safety regulations, zoning laws, and sustainability standards. Team supervision: Mentor and guide junior architects and design teams, and provide technical oversight and quality control for project deliverables. Project management: Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope. Essential skills and qualificationsTechnical proficiency: Expertise in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and the Adobe Creative Suite. Knowledge: Deep understanding of building codes, construction methods, and materials. Leadership: Strong leadership, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams. Problem-solving: Critical thinking and strong analytical skills to resolve complex project issues. Experience: A portfolio demonstrating experience with various project types and scales, and often a minimum of 8 years of professional experience, including a leadership role. Certifications (often preferred): A license to practice architecture and, ideally, certifications like LEED for sustainable design.
