Job Summary
The Zonal Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales growth, managing channel partners, developing new business opportunities, and leading the sales team within the assigned zone. The role focuses on achieving revenue targets, expanding market share, strengthening dealer and distributor networks, and promoting building material products among contractors, builders, architects, consultants, and project customers.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for the assigned zone.
Develop and implement sales strategies to increase market share.
Identify new business opportunities in retail, distribution, institutional, and project sales.
Expand and strengthen dealer, distributor, and channel partner networks.
Drive product penetration across assigned territories.
Channel Management
Appoint, develop, and monitor distributors and dealers.
Ensure healthy inventory levels and product availability.
Resolve channel partner issues related to pricing, logistics, and service.
Conduct regular dealer meetings and performance reviews.
Project Sales
Develop relationships with builders, contractors, architects, consultants, developers, and government departments.
Generate specifications for company products in residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects.
Track project pipelines and convert opportunities into orders.
Team Management
Recruit, train, mentor, and motivate Area Sales Managers and Sales Executives.
Set KPIs and monitor team performance.
Conduct field visits, market audits, and sales reviews.
Provide coaching to improve sales productivity.
Market Intelligence
Monitor competitor activities, pricing, and product launches.
Identify market trends and customer requirements.
Provide market feedback to management for product development and pricing strategies.
Customer Relationship Management
Maintain strong relationships with key accounts.
Ensure high customer satisfaction and prompt issue resolution.
Negotiate commercial terms and finalize large orders.
Reporting & Compliance
Prepare sales forecasts and MIS reports.
Monitor collections and outstanding payments.
Ensure compliance with company sales policies and procedures.

Achievement of sales and revenue targets.
Growth in dealer and distributor network.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
MB
8-15 years of sales experience in building materials, with at least 3-5 years in a managerial role.
Experience in products such as cement, AAC blocks, TMT steel, tiles, paints, plywood, waterproofing, gypsum boards, adhesives, pipes, roofing, or other construction materials is preferred.
