5. Systems Administration / System Engineer training / Certifications

6. Technical Skills and Knowledge

a. Knowledge of Windows Server (Server 2000 and above) and Desktop (7 and above) operation systems

b. In depth knowledge of Domain Controllers and Active Directory including group policies

c. In depth knowledge of DNS and DHCP

d. Knowledge of storage devices like SAN, NAS etc.

e. Knowledge of virtualization and cloud technologies like vmware, citrix xen server. Hyperv or other technologies

f. Knowledge of monitoring applications

g. Knowledge of backup applications

h. Excellent problem-solving / troubleshooting skills

i. Quick learner

j. Knowledge of Microsoft Exchange, IIS, SQL, Remote Desktop Services, Blackberry etc will be an added advantage
