we are seeking a highly skilled supply chain manager with extensive experience in the automobile industry to join our team. the ideal candidate will have a strong background in raw material procurement, vendor development, and supplier audits, with a focus on both direct and indirect purchasing.

key responsibilities:

vendor development: identify, evaluate, and develop new suppliers for raw materials to ensure a reliable supply chain.

procurement management: oversee the procurement process for raw materials, ensuring cost-effective purchasing and timely delivery.

supplier audits: conduct regular audits of suppliers to ensure compliance with quality standards and contractual obligations.

cost optimization: manage cost-effective purchasing strategies for both direct and indirect materials, focusing on copex items.

material requirement planning (mrp): implement and maintain mrp systems to optimize inventory levels and reduce excess stock.

collaboration: work closely with production, quality assurance, and engineering teams to align procurement with manufacturing needs.

market analysis: stay updated on market trends and pricing for raw materials to negotiate favorable contracts.

compliance and reporting: ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and report on procurement metrics and performance.

qualifications:

education: b. tech in mechanical engineering or related field.

experience: 10-12 years of experience in supply chain management within the automobile industry.

knowledge: strong understanding of raw material procurement, vendor development, supplier audits, and mrp systems.

skills: excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills; proficiency in supply chain software and ms office.
