Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Supply Chain Manager with extensive experience in the automobile industry to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in raw material procurement, vendor development, and supplier audits, with a focus on both direct and indirect purchasing.

Key Responsibilities:

Vendor Development: Identify, evaluate, and develop new suppliers for raw materials to ensure a reliable supply chain.

Procurement Management: Oversee the procurement process for raw materials, ensuring cost-effective purchasing and timely delivery.

Supplier Audits: Conduct regular audits of suppliers to ensure compliance with quality standards and contractual obligations.

Cost Optimization: Manage cost-effective purchasing strategies for both direct and indirect materials, focusing on copex items.

Material Requirement Planning (MRP): Implement and maintain MRP systems to optimize inventory levels and reduce excess stock.

Collaboration: Work closely with production, quality assurance, and engineering teams to align procurement with manufacturing needs.

Market Analysis: Stay updated on market trends and pricing for raw materials to negotiate favorable contracts.

Compliance and Reporting: Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and report on procurement metrics and performance.

Qualifications:

Education: B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

Experience: 10-12 years of experience in supply chain management within the automobile industry.

Knowledge: Strong understanding of raw material procurement, vendor development, supplier audits, and MRP systems.

Skills: Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills; proficiency in supply chain software and MS Office.
