About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Student Visa Counselor who can guide students through the complete overseas education and visa process. The ideal candidate should be confident in communicating with students and parents, generating and managing leads, maintaining a strong follow-up pipeline, and converting prospects into applications.
Key Responsibilities
Counsel students regarding study-abroad opportunities, courses, universities, colleges, and destinations.
Understand students' academic backgrounds, career goals, and financial situations to recommend suitable options.
Make regular calls to new and existing leads and actively engage with prospective students.
Generate and maintain a strong pipeline of potential students for future conversions.
Follow up with students and parents through calls, WhatsApp, email, and other communication channels.
Explain admission requirements, eligibility criteria, tuition fees, scholarships, and application procedures.
Assist students with the university/college application and documentation process.
Guide students regarding student visa requirements and the overall visa process.
Coordinate with internal teams and institutions to ensure smooth processing of applications.
Meet individual and team targets for counseling, applications, and conversions.
Stay updated on changes in university admissions, student visa rules, and study-abroad policies.
Build strong relationships with students and provide support throughout the application and visa journey.
Candidate Requirements
1.) 1-3 years of experience in student visa counseling / overseas education is preferred.
2.) Strong knowledge of study-abroad destinations and student visa processes.
3.) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
4.) Comfortable making outbound calls and speaking directly with students and parents.
5.) Strong follow-up and lead-management skills.
6.) Ability to build and maintain a pipeline independently.
7.) Target-oriented and motivated to achieve conversions.
8.) Good convincing, counseling, and negotiation skills.
9.) Ability to work independently as well as with a team.
10.) Basic computer knowledge.
What We're Looking For
We need someone who is hands-on with clients and takes ownership of their leads. The counselor should be comfortable making calls, understanding student requirements, building a pipeline, taking consistent follow-ups, and converting leads into successful applications.
Candidates with only documentation/processing experience and limited client interaction may not be suitable for this role.
