Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Project Manager (MEP) to lead and manage the Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) aspects of our construction projects in Delhi NCR. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing complex MEP projects, ensuring timely delivery, high-quality standards, and adherence to budget. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating all MEP functions across multiple project teams, ensuring smooth execution from design through to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Planning & Execution:
o Oversee and manage all MEP-related activities for large-scale construction projects.
o Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets specifically for MEP components.
o Collaborate with clients, engineers, architects, and contractors to ensure MEP systems are designed, installed, and commissioned as per the project scope and specifications.
2. Team Management & Coordination:
o Lead, supervise, and coordinate MEP teams, ensuring effective collaboration with other project teams.
o Manage MEP engineers, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure the timely and quality delivery of the systems.
o Monitor and evaluate the performance of subcontractors and vendors to ensure compliance with project standards.
3. Design & Technical Oversight:
o Review and approve MEP designs and shop drawings to ensure they meet industry standards and project requirements.
o Ensure that MEP systems (HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, etc.) are designed in compliance with local codes and regulations.
o Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues as they arise during the project lifecycle.
4. Budget & Cost Control:
o Develop, manage, and track project budgets for MEP systems, ensuring efficient use of resources.
o Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend alternatives without compromising quality or safety.
o Monitor project expenditures and report any cost variations to senior management.
5. Quality Control & Safety:
o Ensure that MEP installations adhere to high-quality standards and meet regulatory safety guidelines.
o Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure quality and safety compliance.
o Address any deficiencies or issues identified during inspections to maintain project integrity.
6. Client & Stakeholder Communication:
o Serve as the primary point of contact for all MEP-related matters with clients, consultants, and project stakeholders.
o Provide regular updates to clients and senior management on project status, progress, and any potential delays.
o Ensure that client requirements are incorporated into the project scope and deliverables.
7. Risk & Issue Management:
o Identify potential risks related to MEP systems and develop mitigation plans.
o Resolve any project-related issues related to MEP installations, including technical, schedule, or resource challenges.
o Track and manage changes in the scope of work, ensuring that the project stays on schedule and within budget.
8. Final Handover & Documentation:
o Ensure all MEP installations are fully commissioned and functional before handover.
o Prepare and submit all necessary documentation, including operation and maintenance manuals, warranties, and as-built drawings.
o Conduct post-handover support to resolve any operational issues that may arise with MEP systems.
Key Requirements:
- Education: B. Tech in Electrical Engineering (required).
- Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience managing MEP projects in the construction industry, with a strong background in electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems.
- Skills:
o Deep understanding of MEP systems and their integration in building projects (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire fighting, etc.).
o Proficient in MEP design software, AutoCAD, and project management tools (., MS Project, Primavera).
o Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
o Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
o In-depth knowledge of industry standards, safety codes, and building regulations.
