Job Description

Key Responsibilities of Quality Officer

Review and interpret HVAC project drawings, technical specifications, and quality plans.

Conduct inspections of HVAC equipment installation including ducts, chillers, AHUs, VRF/VRV units, and piping systems.

Ensure adherence to project-specific QA/QC procedures, codes (like ASHRAE, SMACNA), and industry standards.

Perform material inspections, equipment checks, and monitor calibration of HVAC tools/instruments.

Maintain records of inspection reports, test certificates, non-conformity reports (NCRs), and corrective actions.

Coordinate with site engineers and subcontractors to ensure quality requirements are implemented effectively.

Witness testing and commissioning activities (., air balancing, water balancing, pressure testing).

Assist in preparing method statements, inspection & test plans (ITPs), and quality reports.

Conduct audits and participate in internal and external quality review meetings.

Support continual improvement by identifying quality risks and recommending preventive measures.
