A Sand Casting Quality Control (QC) Manager oversees the entire casting process to ensure products meet standards (ISO/IATF), minimizing defects like porosity and shrinkage. They manage raw materials, in-process sand/metal testing, final inspections, and team training to reduce rejections and boost customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Process Oversight: Implement and maintain QC systems from raw material intake to final dispatch.

Defect Reduction: Analyze root causes of casting defects (shrinkage, porosity, dimensional inaccuracies) and implement corrective actions (CAPA).

Sand & Metal Testing: Monitor molding sand properties and analyze metal composition using laboratory equipment.

Documentation & Standards: Manage PPAP, APQP, and SPC documentation; ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.

Inspection & Testing: Supervise non-destructive testing (NDT), dimensional checks, and calibration of inspection tools.

Team Leadership: Train operators, inspectors, and supervisors on quality standards and safety procedures.
