Job Summary
The Quality Control Engineer Fan Blades & Impellers is responsible for ensuring the quality, performance, and safety of fan blades and impellers throughout manufacturing and assembly processes. The role focuses on dimensional accuracy, material integrity, balance, aerodynamic profile, and compliance with applicable standards and customer specifications.
Key Responsibilities
Inspect fan blades and impellers at incoming, in-process, and final stages
Verify dimensional accuracy using measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
Ensure blade profiles, pitch angles, chord length, and curvature meet design specification
Conduct visual and NDT inspections
Verify static and dynamic balancing of impellers and fan assemblies
Inspect surface finish, coatings, corrosion protection, and paint thickness
Review and approve drawings, BOMs, and technical specifications
Identify defects such as cracks, warping, imbalance, misalignment, or improper blade angle
Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
Maintain quality records, inspection reports, and non-conformance reports (NCRs)
Coordinate with production, design, and maintenance teams for quality improvements
Qualification : Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
