Responsibilities:
Quality Inspection & Testing:
Perform thorough quality inspections of incoming raw materials, in-process components, and finished goods as per established Quality Control Plans and specifications.
Conduct various tests (., dimensional checks, functional tests, visual inspections) using appropriate inspection tools and equipment (., Vernier calipers, micrometers, gauges, CMM, software testing tools).
Verify product/service against drawings, specifications, and quality checklists.
Defect Identification & Reporting:
Identify, categorize, and document any defects, non-conformities, or deviations from quality standards.
Initiate Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and ensure proper containment of defective materials/products.
Report critical quality issues immediately to the supervisor and relevant departments.
Documentation & Record Keeping:
Maintain accurate and organized records of all quality inspections, test results, non-conformities, and corrective actions taken.
Prepare daily/weekly/monthly quality reports, summaries, and trend analyses.
Ensure all quality documentation is up-to-date and easily retrievable.
Standard Adherence & Compliance:
Ensure strict adherence to company quality management system (QMS) procedures, work instructions, and industry standards (., ISO 9001, industry-specific standards like IATF , ISO , or GMP, depending on the sector).
Assist in maintaining compliance with relevant regulatory requirements.
Root Cause Analysis Support:
Support the QA/Production team in investigating the root causes of quality issues, customer complaints, and recurring defects.
Assist in implementing and verifying corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Process Monitoring:
Monitor production processes and operational steps to ensure quality parameters are being met at each stage.
Provide feedback to production personnel on quality concerns and best practices.
Equipment Management Support:
Assist in the calibration and maintenance of inspection, measuring, and test equipment (IMTE).
Continuous Improvement Contribution:
Participate in and support quality improvement initiatives (., Lean, 5S, Kaizen, Poke-Yoke) to enhance product quality, process efficiency, and reduce waste.
Safety & Housekeeping:
Adhere to all workplace safety protocols and maintain good housekeeping practices in the inspection areas.
Communication (Local Emphasis):
Communicate clearly and effectively with production teams, supervisors, and other internal departments regarding quality issues and requirements.
Fluency in Marathi and Hindi is essential for effective interaction with shop-floor staff and local vendors. Good English proficiency is required for documentation, understanding specifications, and interaction with senior management.
