Hiring Purchase Engineer (Casting) for Manufacturing company at Chakan Pune.

Education ------ BE in Mech or Production Engg

Experience ---- Around 6-7 Years.

Need to possess following attributes / skills

1) Hands on in Material Procurement Planning.

- Need to be very good in xcel (V Look up and Pivot Table)

- Knowledge of Micros is added advantage

- Knowledge of SAP is added advantage

2) Good verbal and written communication skills.

Good coordinator with Design, Stores, QA and Production.

3) Responsible for procurement of following category of parts

Steel Castings - SG Iron and Investment castings

Al Castings - PDC and Low Gravity Die Casting

Al Extrusions

Machining of Castings and Extrusions - Involves HMC, VMC

Machining of Shafts, Tube - Involves CNC Turning, Milling, Grinding and Honing.

Welding of Carbon Steel and SS parts (welding done by certified welder having WPS/ PQR)

Cold and Hot Rolled Springs upto 70 mm wire dia

Laser cutting

Pickling, Passivation, Plating, Painting etc

Injection moulded parts/ Rubber Seals

Various Bought outs like Motors, Pumps, Accumulators, Hydraulic Cylinders and Valves.

Electrical, Oil/ Grease, Hardwares and Packing materials.

4) Knowledgeable in Vendor Development of SG Iron Castings/ Investment Castings and its machining.

- Pattern manufacturing/ Casting process/ Machining of Castings

- Vendors for above processes around Pune/ Ahmadabad/ Sangli/ Kolhapur/ Rajkot.

5) Knowledgeable in Vendor Development of Low Pressure Die Casting/ PDC and its machining

6) Good exposure to Import formalities.

7) Good in negotiation skills and related commercial aspects.

8) Need to be able to

a) get quality components (first time right)

b) develop suppliers having lowest lead time of supply.

c) control the inventory

d) reduce the cost of procurement.

Shall report to Purchase Manager/ Plant Head.
