### Job Summary

The Pricing Executive in a freight forwarding company is responsible for obtaining competitive freight rates, negotiating with vendors and partners, preparing accurate quotations, and supporting the sales team in winning new business. The role mainly focuses on rate management, negotiations, costing, and quotation preparation for both import and export shipments.

### Key Responsibilities

**1. Freight Rate Procurement**

* Obtain freight rates from the Mumbai pricing team and overseas partners.

* Negotiate the best possible freight rates and space availability.

* Source competitive rates for both air and ocean shipments.

**2. Quotation Preparation**

* Prepare import and export freight quotations for customers and the sales team.

* Include ocean freight and air freight charges for both imports and exports.

* Include local charges, documentation charges, and transportation charges.

* Ensure all quotations are accurate, competitive, and commercially viable.

**3. Coordination with Sales Team**

* Work closely with the sales team to support new business opportunities.

* Provide quick and competitive pricing for tenders and spot enquiries.

* Suggest cost-effective routing and shipment options.

* Support the sales team with pricing inputs to help win new business.

**4. Rate Database Management**

* Maintain an updated freight rate database and quotation log for various trade lanes.

* Regularly update rates received from carriers, overseas agents, and vendors.

* Monitor market rate fluctuations and changes in freight costs.

**5. Vendor & Partner Communication**

* Communicate regularly with the Mumbai pricing desk for air and ocean freight rates.

* Coordinate with overseas agents for international freight rates.

* Liaise with transport vendors for local transportation rates.

* Collect special contract rates, promotional rates, and other competitive pricing options.

### Skills & Competencies

* Good knowledge of INCOTERMS.

* Strong negotiation and communication skills.

* Good knowledge of MS Excel and freight costing.

* Ability to work efficiently under pressure and handle urgent pricing enquiries.

* Strong analytical and commercial skills.

* Good understanding of freight forwarding and international logistics.

* Ability to coordinate effectively with internal teams, vendors, and overseas partners.

### Experience

* 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in the freight forwarding or logistics industry.

* Candidates with experience in freight pricing, rate procurement, quotations, or commercial operations will be preferred.
