key responsibilities:
documentation management:
prepare and review import documentation, including but not limited to invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and certificates of origin.
ensure accuracy and completeness of all import-related paperwork.
coordinate with various departments to collect necessary information for documentation.
regulatory compliance:
stay updated on import/export regulations, tariffs, and trade agreements to ensure compliance.
work closely with customs officials and brokers to address any compliance issues promptly.
communication and coordination:
communicate with suppliers, freight forwarders, and other relevant parties to obtain required documentation.
collaborate with internal teams to facilitate the timely clearance of goods through customs.
record keeping:
maintain organized and up-to-date records of all import documentation.
develop and implement efficient document filing and retrieval systems.
problem resolution:
identify and resolve any discrepancies or issues related to import documentation.
work proactively to prevent delays in customs clearance or shipment.
qualifications:
any graduate
minimum of 2 years of proven experience in import documentation and customs clearance procedures.
strong knowledge of import/export regulations and trade compliance.
excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
attention to detail and accuracy are critical.
effective communication and interpersonal skills.
proficiency in using excel
