Job Summary
The HR Head is responsible for leading the Human Resources function, developing HR strategies, and ensuring alignment of HR initiatives with business objectives. The role oversees talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, compensation & benefits, training & development, statutory compliance, and organizational development.
Key Responsibilities
1. HR Strategy & Leadership
Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with organizational goals.
Lead and manage the HR department across all locations.
Advise management on workforce planning and organizational structure.
Drive employee engagement and retention initiatives.
2. Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning
Develop recruitment strategies to attract top talent.
Oversee hiring for leadership, managerial, and operational positions.
Build talent pipelines and succession planning frameworks.
Monitor recruitment metrics and hiring effectiveness.
3. Performance Management System (PMS)
Design and implement performance appraisal systems.
Monitor employee performance and goal achievement.
Support managers in conducting performance reviews.
Develop performance improvement plans where required.
4. Employee Relations
Handle employee grievances and disciplinary matters.
Foster a positive workplace culture and employee engagement.
Conduct employee satisfaction surveys and action planning.
Manage conflict resolution and workplace investigations.
5. Compensation & Benefits
Develop and review salary structures and compensation policies.
Conduct salary benchmarking and compensation analysis.
Oversee payroll coordination and employee benefits programs.
Ensure competitive and equitable compensation practices.
6. Learning & Development
Identify training needs across departments.
Develop leadership development and employee training programs.
Monitor training effectiveness and employee skill enhancement.
Promote continuous learning and career development initiatives.
7. Statutory Compliance & Labor Laws
Ensure compliance with labor laws and statutory regulations.
Oversee PF, ESI, Bonus, Gratuity, CLRA, Factory Act, and other compliance requirements.
Liaise with government authorities and labor departments.
Manage HR audits and compliance documentation.
8. HR Operations & Policies
Develop and update HR policies, SOPs, and employee handbooks.
Ensure smooth onboarding, confirmation, transfer, and exit processes.
Maintain HR records, MIS reports, and employee databases.
Drive HR process automation and digitization initiatives.
9. Industrial Relations (For Manufacturing/Plant Setup)
Manage union interactions and industrial relations.
Prevent and resolve labor disputes.
Ensure smooth workforce management and plant discipline.
Support management during wage negotiations and settlements.
Qualifications
MBA / PGDM in Human Resources, MSW, or equivalent.
10-15+ years of HR experience with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
Experience in manufacturing, engineering, steel, logistics, or service industries preferred.
