An Erection & Commissioning Engineer is an engineer responsible for:

Erection (Installation)

Supervising installation of industrial equipment, machinery, pipelines, electrical systems, or plant structures.

Ensuring equipment is assembled according to drawings and technical specifications.

Coordinating with mechanical, electrical, civil, and instrumentation teams.

Commissioning

Testing and starting up systems after installation.

Checking performance, safety, calibration, and operational readiness.

Troubleshooting issues before handing over the plant/equipment to operations.
