Job Title: Computer Operator / Data Entry Operator / Back Office Executive (with Computer Operations focus)

Department: IT / Administration / Operations / Back Office

Reports To: IT Manager / Office Manager / Department Head / Supervisor

Location: Nashik, Maharashtra, India (This is primarily an office-based role).

Job Summary:

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Computer Operator to manage and monitor our computer systems, ensuring their smooth and efficient operation at our Nashik office. The ideal candidate will be responsible for executing various computer-based tasks, maintaining data accuracy, troubleshooting basic issues, and providing essential technical and administrative support. This role is crucial for data processing, system upkeep, and overall operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

System Monitoring & Operation:

Monitor computer systems, networks, and peripheral equipment (printers, scanners, etc.) for performance issues, errors, or malfunctions.

Execute scheduled jobs, data processing tasks, and daily operational procedures, including running programs, scripts, and reports.

Perform routine system checks, verify data integrity, and ensure that all computer operations run smoothly without interruption.

Data Entry & Management:

Accurately input, update, and maintain data into various computer systems, databases, and spreadsheets from diverse sources (., physical documents, emails, online forms).

Verify the integrity and consistency of data, identifying and correcting errors or inconsistencies.

Organize and manage digital files and documents efficiently, ensuring proper categorization and easy retrieval.

May involve tasks like scanning documents, converting file formats, and managing digital archives.

Basic Troubleshooting & Support:

Provide first-level support for common hardware and software issues, such as printer jams, network connectivity problems, or basic application errors.

Troubleshoot routine system malfunctions and user queries, escalating complex technical problems to the IT department or senior operators.

Assist users with basic computer-related tasks and provide guidance on software usage.

Reporting & Documentation:

Generate and prepare various reports (., daily activity reports, data summaries, system performance logs) as required by management.

Maintain accurate logs and documentation of system incidents, resolutions, operational procedures, and data entry activities for future reference and audit purposes.

Compliance & Security:

Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding data security, confidentiality, and system usage.

Perform routine backups of critical data to safeguard information and assist in data recovery procedures if needed.

Ensure proper shutdown and startup procedures for computer systems and equipment.
