About Us

Hot Poppy Café, an iconic café in North Melbourne with 25+ years of hospitality heritage, is now inviting qualified chefs from India to join our growing team in Australia — with 482 Visa Sponsorship and a genuine pathway to PR.

🧑‍🍳 Open Positions: Full-Time Chef – All Levels

We’re offering 2 sponsored chef roles per quarter under the TSS Subclass 482 Visa (Medium-Term Stream).

✅ Who Can Apply

Freshers:

🎓 Diploma/Certificate in Commercial Cookery (min. 2 years) from India

🧾 Basic internship/live kitchen exposure

🗣 IELTS (no band <)

📋 Willingness to complete TRA skills assessment with our support

Experienced Chefs:

🎓 Same qualification

💼 Minimum 2 years full-time experience in commercial kitchen

🧾 Ready to proceed with TSS 482 application and TRA positive outcome

🗣 English test (IELTS + or PTE equivalent)

What We Offer:

✅ 482 Visa Sponsorship (up to 4 years)

💰 Full-time salary: AUD $70,000+ per year

🧑‍🏫 Pre-departure coaching (food safety, cultural fit, RSA, kitchen protocols)

🧳 Optional relocation help

🛤️ PR Pathway after 2 years (Subclass 186 – Employer Nomination)

Program Pathway & Fees:

We run a selective intake program to ensure successful migration and integration. Here are the stages:

1. Application: Eligibility check, CV screening, document review

2. Shortlisting: Interview, culinary task, onboarding invite

3. Finalist: Sponsorship agreement, visa processing, TRA help

4. Career Pool: Resume forwarding, next batch preference, mentorship
