Job Summary
We are seeking a disciplined and passionate Commi 2 Chef to join our dynamic multicuisine culinary team. In this role, you will support the Section Chefs (CDP/Commi 1) in preparing a wide array of dishes ranging from [., Continental and Asian to North Indian]. This is a fantastic opportunity for a cook with 2-3 years of experience to sharpen their skills in a high-volume, professional kitchen.
Key Responsibilities
Mise en Place: Execute daily food preparation, including chopping vegetables, butchery basics, and preparing sauces or marinades.
Station Support: Assist in the preparation and cooking of dishes across various sections (Grill, Sauté, Pantry, etc.) as directed.
Quality Control: Ensure all food is prepared according to restaurant recipes, portion controls, and presentation standards.
Hygiene & Safety: Maintain a clean and organized workstation; adhere strictly to food safety (HACCP) and sanitation regulations.
Stock Management: Assist in receiving deliveries and ensuring proper rotation of stock (FIFO).
Teamwork: Coordinate effectively with the front-of-house and kitchen team to ensure timely service during peak hours.
Requirements & Skills
Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a professional kitchen (multicuisine experience is a plus).
Education: A degree or diploma in Culinary Arts or Hotel Management is preferred but not mandatory.
Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of knife skills, cooking techniques (braising, grilling, frying), and kitchen equipment.
Adaptability: Ability to handle a fast-paced environment and switch between different cuisines as needed.
Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy kitchen equipment/supplies.
Communication: Good verbal communication skills and a positive, can-do attitude.
