The Banquet Sales Manager is responsible for driving banquet and event revenue by developing client relationships, securing contracts, and overseeing a seamless sales-to-delivery process. The role requires a dynamic individual with strong business acumen and deep knowledge of the events industry.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and execute a proactive sales strategy to achieve and exceed banquet revenue targets.
Manage the complete sales cycle from lead generation, client meetings, proposal preparation, and contract negotiation to post-event follow-up.
Build and nurture long-term relationships with corporate clients, event planners, and wedding organizers.
Plan and conduct FAM trips, client entertainment, and sales calls to expand the pipeline.
Collaborate with the culinary, operations, and AV teams to deliver customized event solutions.
Monitor competitor activity and market trends to identify new business opportunities.
Prepare and present weekly/monthly sales reports and pipeline updates to senior management.
Supervise and mentor the Assistant Banquet Sales Manager and coordinator.
Ensure all events are contracted, documented, and handed over to operations with accurate BEOs.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in hospitality, Marketing, or Business Administration.
3-5 years of progressive hotel sales experience with a focus on banquets/events.
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Excellent presentation, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
Working knowledge of Opera, Delphi, or similar hotel sales systems.
