purpose of the role
1. to provide hands-on business development and grow the agriculture portfolio.
2. to provide hands-on project management in agriculture projects.
key responsibilities
the project manager’s responsibilities will include:
• developing expertise in agriculture or international development projects
• partnering with client and palladium leadership team; to scope projects, their duration and the high-level work plans
• taking leadership and project management responsibilities on a range of engagement
• demonstrating expertise in tailoring services to clients
• establishing and managing relationships with clients’ leaders and executives
• overseeing project delivery and making day-to-day project and people decisions
• staffing the project and assigning roles and responsibilities to deliver the required results
• ensuring projects are delivered on-time and at margin targets
• managing scope and executing change orders when needed
• ensuring the coordination and alignment of deliverables to maximise value
• customising the delivery approach and best practices to meet client needs
• ensuring effective capture of project intellectual property and lessons learned
• owning the team’s professional development by identifying opportunities for growth
reporting
the role reports to the technical director and some of the reporting requirements will include:
• attending all weekly meetings and other meetings as required
• participating in regular project status updates, with the technical
• director/technical manager on client engagements
• working with the technical director to compile development goals and regularly update activities against them
