We are seeking a reliable and professional Appointment Scheduler to support a US-based medical practice by managing patient appointments, provider schedules, and patient communication efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
Schedule, reschedule, and cancel patient appointments for physicians and providers.
Handle inbound and outbound patient calls professionally.
Verify patient demographics, insurance information, and appointment eligibility.
Coordinate provider calendars and maintain accurate scheduling.
Send appointment reminders and follow-up calls to reduce no-shows.
Document patient interactions and appointment notes in EMR/EHR systems.
Assist patients with basic inquiries regarding appointments, referrals, and office procedures.
Ensure HIPAA compliance and maintain patient confidentiality.
Work closely with front desk, billing, referrals, and clinical teams.
Manage high call volumes while maintaining excellent customer service.
Requirements:
Minimum 1 year experience in US healthcare appointment scheduling or medical office support preferred.
Knowledge of US healthcare terminology and patient scheduling workflows.
Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as eClinicalWorks, AdvancedMD, or similar.
Good understanding of insurance verification and referrals is an advantage.
Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written.
Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills.
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
